Gay Avenue Primary is known for its "Family" atmosphere.
We welcome parents to visit and join us for special occasions throughout the year.  In the fall, parents are encouraged to join their child at school for special functions such as:
"DONUTS FOR DAD",  "MUFFINS FOR MOM",  &  "GRANDPARENTS DAY"
Students are busy at Thanksgiving with "pow-wows" and feasts.  At Christmas, family members can enjoy watching music programs and, of course, can join in on the traditional classroom Christmas parties.   When spring arrives, there are valentines exchanged between friends, eggs to hunt, and field trips to enjoy.  To close out the year, students participate in a class play day, 1st graders are introduced to their 2nd grade campus, and Kindergarteners practice becoming the "seniors" on campus.  The big finale is the "Hot Dog Supper" in May.  All families are invited to join us here at Gay Avenue Primary for delicious hot dogs, cooked by our very own principal, Mr. Bryce.  Chips and soft drinks are also served and there are games to play, prizes to award, popcorn to eat, and one can even get their face painted with a cool design.  Our librarian, Mrs. Dougan is also on stand by for any friends who want to make last minute purchases from the annual Book Fair.   We have tons of fun and our friends are usually sad to see it come to an end on the last day of school.  Gay Avenue Primary is sure to make a lasting impression on both students and parents.
It's a great place to start an educational tradition!
